Open Source Web Application Developer

In order to provide the high-value, low-cost solutions our customers expect, Convina depends heavily on software automation. We are searching for ambitious, motivated web developers with experience building applications on Open Source platform.

Job Duties

• Creating and deploying php/mySQL applications based on high-level project objectives.
• Creating and deploying  php/mySQL website modules based on customer requirements and objectives.
• Making bug fixes and feature enhancements on existing applications.
• Collaberating with and combining expertise with designers and marketing experts.

Required: Programing Languages and Systems

Applicants must be proficient (at least 2 years of experience) in all of the following:

• php, Perl, Python
• JavaScript, JQuery, and AJAX
• mySQL
• Apache Web Server
• Web Services, XML, and SOAP

Desired: Programming Languages and Systems

• Flash ActionScript and Flex
• Active Server Pages (Classic)

Skills

• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills.
• Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.

Platform Independence

Location

All Convina employees work together at our Draper offices with a short commute from both Salt Lake and Utah Counties.

Schedule

Schedules are flexible. Most employees work Monday to Thursday 8 AM to 6 PM plus 4 hours of flex time.
